Fair Strawberry 72°

Thank you! for visiting our website. If you have been to Leland High Sierra Snow Play before, you know how much fun our guests have. If you haven't been here before, we invite you to come up and see for yourself why we're the Biggest & Best Snow Play Facility in the Sierra. Come and play during the week to take advantage of our discounted mid-week rates and fewer snowplayers! So take a break from work, pack up the kids and come play in the snow with us! Were open from when the first snow falls to about mid-April.

At 6300 feet, this beautiful & natural setting is another world away. It is remarkably accessible though. Located in Tuolumne County, in the heart of Gold Country, Leland High Sierra is 39 miles east of Sonora on Highway 108, 3 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area and 2 hours from most Central Valley cities. We are your closest snow to home. Our snowcats assure well groomed snow. Family owned and operated, Leland High Sierra retains that cozy Alpine feeling but, with 12 acres of Snowplay fun is large enough to accommodate any sized group. We've saved the best news for last. The biggest & best snow play facility in the sierras is also the most affordable!!!

This year Leland Snowplay has teamed up with three premier lodging facilities to offer discount Snowplay Tickets, to help you budget your Snowplay day or weekend even better! We have chosen each based on their location and amenities. The Best Western Sonora Oaks, and The Inns of California Sonora are both located in historic downtown Sonora. With many shops and dining options to chose from, they both offer great room packages bundled with Snowplay family fun.

Long Barn Lodge is another great choice for larger families, or groups. They have a large selection of different sized cabins or rooms to choose from. And the added bonus of an ice skating rink right outside your door.

If it's a cabin your looking for, you can't beat The Cabins at Strawberry. Right on the Stanislaus River, and the closest lodging to Leland Snowplay. The proprietors, Brian and Mary Sutherland have been doing this for over 25 years plus, and really know how to take great care of there guests.  For more information click on either hotel below. Or for more hotel options check our lodging page here!
