NOW OPEN FOR SNOWPLAY! – January 26, 2018
The snow has returned and the hill is covered in tons of fresh powder. The lifts are humming to life and our staff is setting up the hill. The lodge is warm and the grill is fired up. Sure, we wish things looked this good 6 weeks ago, but we play the hand we are dealt, and right now, Mother Nature has dealt all you SNOWPLAYERS a great hand for some late January SNOWPLAY!
We are finally getting back into that old winter mindset, and will be hard at work as we continue to recover from a disappointing start earlier this season, so a few reminders for everyone planning to take advantage of the conditions:
– Currently the winter weather systems are moving out of the region and we are looking at clearing skies, but as far as future weather forecasts go, we get our weather reports from the same news outlets and weather apps you do, and we can’t provide any special insights beyond what the National Weather Service says. Please pay attention to current weather via your favorite Weather App before starting your trip.
– Currently there are chain controls in place near Long Barn, but that is subject to change. We don’t control road conditions, nor do we provide information contrary to what CalTrans publicly posts. Please pay attention to the current road condition before starting your trip.
– For all other information regarding your visit, including prices and our most commonly asked questions, please see our FAQ Page. If you can’t find answers to your questions there, message us on Facebook, and we will do our best to direct you to the best source for answers.
Again, we are open again for the season, under normal business hours, for what we hope will be a long, white season. We are thrilled to be opening our doors this morning, and hope everyone is able to join us on the hill for tons of Snowplay FUN! Please follow us here and check out our website as the season continues for the latest information.
